Lauren is active Director of Human Resources for Donley’s, Inc., a fourth generation, national leader in construction. In her role, she provides human resource guidance, coaching, and expertise in the areas of talent management, performance management, succession planning, training, employee development, talent acquisition, employee relations, employee communication, and compensation.

Lauren us active in the Cleveland non-profit community, serving as the Vice Chair of Engage! Cleveland and Board Trustee with the Cleveland State University Alumni Association. She is also the Past President of the Cleveland Society for Human Resource Management (CSHRM).

Background

Lauren began her HR career with Frisch’s Restaurants, Inc. She then relocated back to Cleveland to work for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. During her tenure, she participated in the company’s first Management Development Program, a 2 year rotational program in the Operations, Budget, HR, Marketing, and Engineering department. In 2012, Lauren joined ERICO International Corporation as the HR Manager for the Solon, OH campus, where she served as the HR Business Partner to 650 manufacturing associates. In 2015, Pentair acquired ERICO and Lauren transferred to the commercial division, supporting 1,000 team members globally. She joined Donley’s, Inc. in March 2018. Lauren also provides pro-bono HR consulting services through her non-profit work.

Human Resources Director – HR generalist leadership for $300M with 550 employees

  • Responsible for all HR functions, including talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
  • Lead the HR technology implementation of BirdDogHR (construction management HRIS), which included the talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management modules. This streamlined the TA and Onboarding process to less than 60 days and efficiencies in the onboarding paperwork.
  • Transformed talent management process at Donley’s to include the utilization of the 9 box exercise, succession planning, talent planning, and training. This identified top talent within the organization.
  • Revamped the Operations co-op program to include performance management, cross training, engagement survey, and enhanced college recruitment efforts.
  • Advise business leaders on effective leadership practices to ensure accountability in managing their staff.
  • Managed recruitment efforts, employee relations issues, performance management process, and all employee communication programs for business unit. +Provided career coaching and mentoring for high potential and high performers.

Human Resources Manager (Commercial) – HR generalist management for $550M with 1,200 employees

  • Provided HR leadership during the acquisition / integration period, which included an 10% increase in Sales and a 3% increase in profitability.
  • Identified and implemented strategies and programs that help engage and retain a high performing workforce enhance Pentair’s culture, including an employee referral program, high potential development program, and women’s special interest group. Increased engagement by 10% based on annual survey results.
  • Lead annual performance management process and talent management process for entire global segment with ensuring 100% completion. Included creation and implementation of global 9 box exercises, succession planning, and risk retention. Within 2 years, retention efforts for high potentials increased by 15%.
